System user guide.
Peera offers translations of the application and content for communities using the neural machine translation service Amazon Translate.
Today Peera has already implemented the application interface & content translation for the following languages:
- English;
- Chinese;
- Spanish;
- Vietnamese;
- Ukrainian;
- French;
- German;
- Russian.
This feature allows communities to set up the content translation.
Content Auto-translation - User View
When a user changes the language of the application from English to another one in the top right corner of the page, the posts whose original language is different from the chosen have the Globus icon and a tooltip saying from which language the post is translated.
This also works for the interface in English. If the original language of the post is different from English, the Globus icon and the tooltip appear on the translated posts.
If the original post language is the same as the chosen language the translation icon will not appear.
A post will be automatically translated into the chosen language. But if a user needs to check the post in its original language, the “See original” and “See translation” buttons change the language back.
Community Languages Setup
The Community Administrator can determine the number of languages used in a community's user interface and content auto-translations through community settings.
Depending on the settings, the number of languages may vary between the main Peera and a certain Community Forum!
