Why polygon mainnet?

Peeranha's mission is to build a decentralized knowledge sharing protocol where all the knowledge created by the community is owned by the community. Blockchain and IPFS/Filecoin are two technologies that it leverages to achieve that. All the important actions on the protocol are recorded on the blockchain. Text/media content is stored on IPFS/Filecoin and referenced from the blockchain.

Polygon was chosen because of the low transaction fees that are required for applications like Peeranha.

With that said, we don't stop on just Polygon blockchain. Peeranha aims to be cross-chain. We are already actively working on the expanding Peeranha to Sui blockchain. Communities will have a choice with L1 or L2 blockchain they want to use to store their valuable knowledge.
